Mona Sharon Wattenberg, age 89, passed away on February 25, 2026.
She married James “Jim” Wattenberg on May 10, 1963. Together, they blended their families and raised six children. Mona remained committed to her family throughout her life and stayed involved in the lives of her children and grandchildren. She loved spending time with her grandchildren.
In Jim’s later years, Mona was his primary caregiver. She cared for him daily in their home, managing his needs and remaining by his side as his health declined. She ensured he was able to stay at home and provided consistent care and support until his death.
She is survived by her children Randy (Linda) Wattenberg, Denise Sweikatun, Les (Mariah) Wattenberg, Lori (Greg) Fiandaco, and Dani (Kevin) Minner; her grandchildren Adela, Carrie, Dustin, Olivia, Trevor, Sierra, Summer, Whitney, Alona, Tony, and Lexy; her great-grandchildren Rocco, Gianna, Victoria, Sullivan, Harlow, Harper, Casey, Christian, Maggie Kate, Grayson, Judah, Azaliah, and Eliel; and her niece, Kim (Wyatt) Crotta.
Mona was preceded in death by her husband, Jim; her son, Allan; her parents, Ruby and Garland Hubbell; and her sisters, Georgeann Hintz and Joyce Churchfield.
