After 18 years he decided it was time to get back to Colorado to be closer to his family. They returned to his hometown of Ovid, and he took a part time position with D & L meat company there. Neil was very passionate about his relationship with God and returned to the Julesburg Christian Church where he attended services as a child. He was baptized in the church and also married his love Joyce there. He was a Deacon. He also showed his love for Christ through his music, singing often at the altar until his blindness forced him to stop. He was very loving and caring for his church family.
