Nona Hargadin, 80, of Brighton CO, passed away at her home on October 28, 2024. She was born in Denver to Barbara and William Hagel of Thornton. She was the youngest of 3 siblings. She graduated from Brighton High School.
Nona married Roger Hargadin on September 1, 1962. According to Roger, they met when she was working at her parents' family-owned business, Hagels Point, and she would bring coffee to him several times a day while he was working down the street. She worked and owned The Pleasure Hobby and Bike Shop for 8 years. They were married for 62 years and had 3 children.
She loved quilting and crafts, shopping, collecting angels and gnomes and was most passionate about her family. She had been a girl scout leader, member of the Rainbow girls, and a member of Square Hoppers square dancing club.
She is survived by her husband, Roger, 3 children – Sheryl (Dave) Harrison of Hudson CO, David (Cheri) Hargadin of Lathrop, MO, and Danon (Christina) Hargadin of Fort Collins CO, her brother Lonnie Hagel and sister Kathleen Elledge; 18 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
Known for her love of family that she extended to anybody she considered a friend. She was always active in the community and loved to help spread love and joy to anybody she met. Her kind smile and big heart will be missed dearly by everyone who knew her.
