Norbert "Sonny" Suppes Obituary
On January 7th, 2022 Norbert “Sonny” Suppes went to join the lord peacefully. Sonny Suppes was born April 6th, 1932 in Loretta, Kansas. Son of John Suppes and Martina. (Schoenberger) Suppes. Sonny’s education was in the Brighton school district.
Sonny worked in the meatpacking industry until his retirement in 1982. On August 29th, 1959 in Brighton, Co, Sonny Suppes married Charlene Ann Riedel and have been married for 62 years. Both were long time residents of the Brighton community.
Sonny loved his polka music and would always be in the mood for some good accordion and triangle. He also loved to play his scratch tickets and loved playing bingo every Friday night. He was an avid Broncos fan and was up for camping and fishing during the summer. Sonny had an amazing sense of humor and will be missed.
Sonny was preceded in death by his siblings, William Suppes from Kansas City, MO, Elanor Urban Hays, KS, Mary Suppes from Liebenthal, KS, Leo Suppes from Brighton, CO, Louise Kois from Brighton, CO, Genevieve Pillion from Hartford, CT, Joseph Suppes from Brighton, CO, Julitta Knox from Thornton, CO, Dorothy Brown from Northglenn, CO, Georgina Kanzler from La Salle, CO, Mary Jane Younger from Brighton, CO and is survived by Georgina Isaac from Louisville, KY.
Sonny was survived by wife, Charlene (Riedel) Suppes; sons, Adam Urban from Vancouver, WA, Delbert Suppes from Brighton, CO, Christopher (Shannon) Suppes from Brighton, CO; and daughter, Sharon (Duane) Garbett from Aurora, CO. Sonny also was a grandfather to Jason Urban, Brandy Urban, Dewey Garbett, Mark Garbett, Brianna Dolittle, Ashley Garbett, Ryan Suppes, Shelly Garbett and great grandfather to 17; as well as, numerous nieces and nephews and multiple god-children.
Services will be held at Tabor Rice Mortuary in Brighton, CO on January 21, 2022 at 11:00 am.
Reception following service will be held at there family home on 273 S. 13th Ave., Brighton, CO.
