Oclires Nuanes, age 95, of Broomfield, Colorado, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2026, at Cogir of Broomfield Senior Living.
She was born on April 30, 1930, in Brighton, Colorado, to Jeronimo and Mary Vurciaga. Oclires grew up rooted in family and community, values that remained central throughout her life.
On April 15, 1948, she married the love of her life, John Charles Nuanes. Together, they shared a devoted marriage and built a life grounded in love, resilience, and dedication to one another.
As a proud military wife, Oclires supported John during his 21 years of service in the United States Army. Following his retirement, she pursued her passion for helping others by earning her associate degree as a Licensed Practical Nurse from Colorado State College in Pueblo. She went on to care for others with compassion and strength, reflecting her generous spirit.
Oclires was a devoted wife, mother, and caregiver whose kindness and quiet strength touched the lives of many.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Charles Nuanes, and her son, Dave Nuanes.
She is survived by her loving daughters, along with extended family and loved ones who will cherish her memory.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
