Patricia Baca Obituary

Patricia Christina Baca
Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, friend, and mentor.

1942 – 2025

Patricia “Patty” Baca, age 82, of Brighton, Colorado, passed away peacefully on April 22, 2025.

Born in 1942, Patty lived a full and vibrant life defined by compassion, strength, and deep devotion to those around her. She was married for 64 years to her husband, Michael “Rudy” Baca. Together they built a close-knit family that includes five children: Tina Baca, David Baca, Lisa Baca, Tammy Baca, and Jason Baca, daughter-in-law Diane Davis, and two cherished granddaughters, McKenzie Baca and Arianna Baca-Davis.

Patty dedicated 29 years of her career to Western Electric/AT&T/Lucent Technologies in Westminster, Colorado, where she served as an Operations Manager. A passionate advocate for workers’ rights, she played an active role in the union, always standing up for her coworkers and championing fairness and equity in the workplace.

To her many nieces and nephews, she was the favorite aunt—fun, nurturing, and always there with a listening ear. To her extended family and friends, she was a pillar of strength, the one who made everyone feel welcome and valued. Patty had a natural gift for making people feel at home in her presence. She accepted everyone with open arms and a generous heart.

An avid reader, Patty could often be found with a book in hand—devouring multiple books a week from the local library. She was also an enthusiastic bowler, taking part in leagues and tournaments for many years, where she formed deep and lasting friendships. Her adventurous spirit, love of dancing to Mexican music, and infectious laughter brought joy to everyone lucky enough to know her.

Patty was a friend to all generations—whether young or old, she connected with people from all walks of life. She fought for the underdog, always lending her voice and strength to those who couldn’t find their own. And through it all, she proudly cheered on her beloved Seattle Seahawks.

Patty Baca was love in action. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, courage, and connection. Her absence will be deeply felt, but her spirit will live on in every laugh, every dance, and every act of compassion inspired by her memory.
