Patricia Ann Case
Patricia (Patty) Case, age 91, passed away peacefully on January 6, 2026; surrounded by her family.
She was born on November 6, 1934, in Denver, Colorado. She was raised in a close knit Irish Catholic family and dearly loved her grandmother, Nellie Cline. She also remained in close contact with her sister, Donna and brother, Ron throughout their lives. She attended St. Joseph School in Denver and shortly after graduation she married John A Case on June 13, 1953. They raised a family on a dairy farm located in Brighton. A very large family was created from this union; 7 children, 19 grandchildren, and 38 great grandchildren.
Patty devoted her life to her family and home, proudly serving as a homemaker. She was known for her caring nature, quiet strength, and unwavering dedication to those she loved. Her home was always a place of warmth and comfort, and she took great pride in caring for her family.
In her free time, Patty enjoyed playing cards, doing puzzles, and journaling. She loved to dance, especially to Irish music and Dutch hop. She cherished being surrounded by family and friends and greatly enjoyed traveling and going out to eat. Patricia was also well known for always “keeping a list,” a habit that kept her always mindful of birthdays and visits from family members. She never forgot a birthday and always sent a card or called her loved ones on their day. Her greatest joy was having her children, grandchildren, or great grandchildren visit her. The family called her ‘Queen Bee’.
Patty is survived by her children Mary (Ernie) Wagner, Laurie (Danny) Cook, John P (Debra) Case, Jami (Mark) Longhurst, Jeff (Molly) Case, Jackie (Mark) Ackerman, and Mike (Theresa) Case; and by her grandchildren Julie Eddy and Tom Wagner; Keyna Hebberd and Casey Cook; Sara Guffy, Rebecca Gingerich, and Megan Midcap; Emily Yenny, Melissa “Missy” Klosterman, and Corey Longhurst; Erin Faulhaber and Justin Case; Sami Jo Steelman and Travis Ackerman; and Brittany Michaud, Ashley Grein, Vince Case, and Nick Case.
Patty was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence William Mauff and Catherine Elizabeth Cline; her husband, John A Case; her sister, Donna Light, and her husband, Jerry; her brother, Ronald “Ron” Mauff; and her beloved grandchildren, Tatum Cook and Ottilie Grein.
Patty will be remembered for her kindness, her gentle spirit, and the love she shared with all who knew her. She leaves behind cherished memories that will be held close by her family and friends.
