It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Rachel Anne Shennum. She was called to be with the Lord on November 21, 2023 in Ft. Lupton, Colorado. She was born on March 18, 1977, in Brighton, Colorado and was the third born to David and Carole Shennum.
Rachel had many talents and passions. She loved animals, gardening, music, tattoos and anything artistic and creative. She was amazing at doing makeup and she loved sharing that gift with others.
Rachel's sense of humor was as infectious as it was unique, leaving a trail of laughter and smiles wherever she went. Those who had the pleasure of her company will remember her for the interesting conversations and the depth of her insights.
She is survived by her son, Austin Hathaway, who was the light of her life and her proudest achievement. Her parents, David and Carole Shennum and Rachel's siblings, Christi, Joshua, and Charity, along with many nieces and nephews. We will forever cherish the memories of tour beloved sister and aunt.
Rachel's legacy is one of love, laughter, and creativity. Her life was a beautiful reminder of the joy that can be found in the simple pleasures of the world around us. As we say farewell to Rachel Anne Shennum, we celebrate the remarkable woman she was and the indelible mark she left on the hearts of those who loved her. She will be deeply missed.
