Obituary for Rick

Ricardo Cardenas passed on October 24th 2025 in Aurora, Colorado. After a short lived life Ricky’s services will be held at the Tabor Rice Mortuary and Funeral home in Brighton CO on the 21st day of November at 11 o’clock AM followed by internment at Elmwood cemetery located at 14800 Brighton Road, Brighton CO 80601 

Ricardo was born to Laurie Sandoval and Claudio Cardenas on the day of October 24th 1977. Ironically the day he was called to heaven. Ricardo was born in Detroit, Michigan and moved to the Brighton area in 1989.. Ricardo moved to Thornton with his mom and attended Thornton High School.  He eventually made his way to west Denver where he worked as an electrician apprentice and landscaper. 

 Ricardo was all about his music. And his friends. He loved his people. No matter what he was going thru he tried to help where and with what he could. He was very strong willed. He was the type that would ask for help if he needed it. Although he loved his family he made his way through this world with his friends. Ricardo was a very strong reader. He was determined in all he did. 

Ricardo is proceeded in death by his father Claudio Cardenas, who passed in 1998. Ricardo is survived by his mother Laurie, his brother Robert, and his sister Adrianna. Ricardo's nieces and nephews will fondly remember the lasting imprint he made on their lives.
