Richard "Big Dick" David Carlson
Richard was born in Ashland Wisconsin to Emil and Angela Carlson and was one of four siblings. He married Michaeleen Francis Weiss on December 8, 1974.
Richard moved to Colorado with his family 1 day before his first birthday. He grew up in Commerce City, Colorado. Richard learned to be a builder at a young age, building his first house at the age of 17. He continued to build for most of his life, keeping most of the houses as rental properties. He and Mikki managed their own properties over the years while also raising their two daughters, Cyndee and Cathee. Richard tried his hand at other business opportunities throughout the years including owning and running a carpet store, and buying, fixing up, and selling cars, but always came back to building and landlording.
Richard enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest. He was the founder and leader of his biker gang, "The Husky Hustlers". He never missed a party and was wild and energetic well into his senior years. Richards birthday bonfire party was known for miles around both due to the size of the party and the size of the fire. Richard was always up for a drink with any of his many friends.
Richard's daughters and grandchildren were his pride and joy. The smile that would light up his face at just the mention of the grandkids would warm the room. He simply couldn't get enough of them.
Richard is survived by his two daughters, Cyndee Carlson and Cathee Sherr; sister Lorraine; brother Wayne; and eight grandchildren, Tyler, Jessica, Josh, Liam, Kelsea, Ryan, Jake and Ben. He is preceded in death by both of his parents; wife Mikki; and brother Orvil.
