Robbie (Lussier) Hirsch Obituary

Robbie Dawn (Lussier) Hirsch, 53, of Wiggins, formerly from Brighton, passed away unexpectedly June 30th  2020. She was born in Lamar, Colorado to Mike and Connie (Dowell) Lussier.  The family moved to Brighton in 1979.

Robbie attended Vikan Junior High and Brighton High School where she was a talented and competitive athlete, particularly in softball. She graduated from Brighton High School in 1985. She began working for the Adams County 17th Judicial courts in 1999.  Robbie welcomed her children, first Savannah in October 1995 and then Trey in July 1997.

Robbie had a passion for life. She taught us the values of strength, courage, respect, hard work and integrity day in and day out. Whenever someone needed an ear to listen, a shoulder to lean on, a heart to care, Robbie was there. Her faith in God was one she shared with many when we needed to be reminded of His love for us. She was also one to put you in your place with one of her “Come to Jesus Meetings” as she called it when she felt that her tough love was necessary. Robbie loved with her whole heart. She would put all her time and attention into the things she cared about such as her children (biological or not), Elvis, her 4H community, her roses, little farm, and her photography. She captured so many moments in others lives, if only we could capture more with her.

She started her 4H journey 13 years ago when she enrolled Savannah and Trey into the Tailtwisters 4H club. She took on being a co-leader rather quickly because she could not contain her passion for the kids and the projects they took on. She wanted to be involved as much as she could to make sure they felt loved and supported in the ways she was for Savannah and Trey during their experience in 4H. She was on Leaders Council and attended fair board meetings, all to ensure every child in the Weld County 4H program was being represented within the best of her abilities. She was also part of the Ft. Lupton Buyers Club that was solely funded by public contributions who purchased livestock that made sale each year that were owned, raised and shown by members of the Tailtwisters.

Her smile would light up a room, her laugh would make others laugh with her, her sense of fairness and justice showed in her work but also in her daily life. She was particular about her tea and would turn her nose up if it was not made right, even if she asked for it to be made numerous times until she was satisfied. Despite the trials and tribulations going on in her life, she was always willing to support her friends and family in their endeavors, and she had always been a pillar of leadership that those around her looked to for guidance. Robbie was a ferocious, free willed, independent woman whose spirit will live on forever in our hearts and minds. Whenever you see a windmill spinning, a rose blooming, hear an inappropriate joke or feel the need to groove to Elvis, know she is with you in that moment.

Robbie is survived by her children, Savannah Bain and Trey (Dakota) Hirsch, granddaughter Haelynn, her mother Connie (Richard) Rice, her brother Dylan (Michele) Lussier and sisters Christi (Ryan) Howard and Courtney (Cameron) Rogers, her nieces Ashley Lussier and Nicolette Mitchell and nephews Kellan and Kyhler Rogers.  She was preceded in death by both maternal and paternal grandparents, her father Mike Lussier and stepfather LD Holt.
