Robert Lee Baumgartner, Jr. died peacefully at his home on May 26, 2021 in his recliner. Bob was born to Robert and Sharon (Winn) Baumgartner on July 12, 1962 at Ft. Sills Army Base in Oklahoma. Bob was raised in Brighton and attended local schools before graduating from Brighton High School in 1980.
Bob married Lynette Kuntz on May 9, 1981 in Brighton and had three children, Nichole, Chase and Robert, III. They celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary this year.
He enjoyed cooking, fishing, camping, waterskiing, snow-skiing, barefoot waterskiing, photography, animals, shooting guns (shooting golf balls out of the air), the Colorado mountains, and most of all telling funny stories about his family and friends. Bob enjoyed riding his Harley and attending bike rallies. He was an avid Denver Bronco and Colorado Avalanche fan. During his teens, he was a lifeguard for the City of Brighton and worked at Hiway Lumber. After graduation, he started a 36 year career with Merritt Equipment Company in Henderson, Colorado.
He is survived by his wife, Lynette, daughter Nichole (JC Hart) Baumgartner of South Fork, Colorado, Chase (Christie) Baumgartner of Parker, Colorado, and Robert Baumgartner, III of Greeley, Colorado. Two beautiful granddaughters Ashlyn and Saralyn whom he cherished. His parents, brother Craig (Carol) Baumgartner, and niece Sarah Baumgartner. Grandma Marie Winn (GG). Many family and friends who will dearly miss him and his sense of humor. He was preceded in death by his mother and father in-law, George and Cecilia Kuntz.
