Robert Gregory “Greg” Beasley, 64, entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 19, 2026.
Greg was born in Lovington, New Mexico. His parents, Vonda L. Adee and Gary J. Mecham, raised him in Arvada, Colorado. He spent most of his high school years at Arvada West, and graduated from Canyon High School in Canyon, Texas in 1979. Greg proudly served his country in the United States Navy as an Aviation Electrician's Mate Petty Officer 3rd Class aboard the USS Constellation (CV-64) in San Diego, California.
After his military service, Greg dedicated his life to hard work and service. He worked as an electrician, later as a truck driver with Gulf Eagle, and as a driving instructor with Careers World Wide. He also worked as a warehouse supervisor with Buehler Moving Companies. In July of 2022, Greg humbly answered his most important calling to ministry and became the Pastor at Destination Ministries, and the Chaplain at Aladdin Assisted Living, serving faithfully until his passing.
Greg enjoyed fishing, studying the Bible, and spending time with his family, which always included many laughs and much teasing. Known as a hard worker, he was someone who took care of everyone around him. His great-grandchildren brought him immense joy and truly made him “great.” He will be remembered for his strong faith, generous heart, and unwavering devotion to those he loved.
Greg is survived by his wife, Tracey Duffey, whom he met in 2010 at church and married in June of 2019; his daughter, Sonja Mellynchuk and her husband Mark Mellynchuk; his daughter, Autum Franklin and her husband Jeff Franklin; his granddaughter, Elizabeth DeLeon-Fisher and her husband Joshua DeLeon-Fisher; and his three great-grandchildren, Elyssia, Ezekiel, and Elianna. He is also survived by his siblings: Sonya Croci and her husband Vic Croci; Gary Mecham, Jr. and his wife Amy Mecham; and John Lee Mecham and his wife Gail Mecham, as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. His parents also survive him.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Tammy Beasley, in January of 2018 and his niece, Mercedes Mecham, in February of 2024.
