Robert Dee Masden
Robert Dee Masden, aged 69, passed away on March 26, 2025. He is survived by his daughter Brittany Ewigleben, his son Kyle Masden, his son-in-law Derek Ewigleben, his two grandchildren, Keira and Grace Ewigleben, and his brother Richard Masden. Rob was a wonderful father and a beloved Papa to his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brothers Bill McQueary and Kenneth McQueary. He’s also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Rob dedicated most of his life to public service. He served on the Weld RE-3J School Board, was the Mayor of Hudson, Colorado, a Weld County Commissioner, and Weld County Council, among many other boards throughout his life. He was particularly proud of his work on the Energy & Mineral Impact committee because of the funding they provided to numerous projects around Colorado.
Rob's commitment to his community was unwavering. He worked tirelessly to improve the lives of those around him, always striving to make a positive impact. His leadership and vision were instrumental in many projects that have left a legacy in the community.
Above all else, Rob deeply loved his family. He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed playing pranks and jokes on people. His laughter and playful spirit brought joy to everyone who knew him. Later in life, he went on many trips to Disney World with his grandchildren and spent time on the beach with them, creating cherished memories that will be treasured forever.
Rob will be remembered for his dedication to public service, his love for his family, and his joyful spirit. His legacy of kindness, humor, and community service will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, March 30th from 1-4pm at Lulu’s in Watkins. We’ll have appetizers and desserts for everyone to join. Cash bar.
