Robert Ramser Obituary

Robert Lee Ramser, 88, of Brighton, Colorado passed away peacefully with family by his side on March 19, 2022, after suffering from vascular dementia. Bob was born on August 8, 1933, to Daniel and Sara (Pedigree) Ramser in Lockhaven, Pennsylvania. Robert was the youngest of three. His mother died when he was nearly nine years old. He said she gave him enough love to last his lifetime. He grew up with a field of Piper Air Cub airplanes behind his home; influencing his whole life.

Bob joined the Air Force during the Korean Conflict before finishing school and completed Basic Training at Sheppard Air Force Base in Sheppard, Texas. He was stationed in the Philippines for his four years, where he was assigned to Maintenance working on B-29 airplanes. When he returned to the states, he was stationed at Lowry Air force Base in Denver where he met the love of his life, Nina Nagel. They were married April 30, 1955, at St. Philomena Catholic Church in Denver.

He was a very humble man who started his career with Continental Airlines as an AP Mechanic, Quality Control, and ultimately Foreman Inspector. He worked for various airlines including Frontier and America West. He traveled extensively for Ansett Worldwide Leasing based in Australia, retiring in 1995. After retirement, he continued to do airline consulting.

Bob always wanted a family and was so proud of his. He and Nina had five children, seven grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren. He was a loving, patient father, grandfather, and great grandfather who was loved and adored by all. Family was very important to him and he made sure his had what they needed and were well taken care of.

Bob loved children and dogs. He was an avid reader who enjoyed spending time with his family going fishing, camping, boating, solving the daily crossword puzzle, and doodling in notebooks. He and Nina liked to go dancing and played cards with close friends. Bob loved being surrounded by his family. If he wasn’t in the same room with the chaos, he was nearby listening.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Sara; his siblings, Frank and Mary; his son, Paul and daughter, Julie Lucio (Oscar).

He is survived by his wife, Nina; children: Mark (Beverly), Ann, and Diana (Damon); grandchildren: Robert, Megan, David, Jennifer Mitchell (Dominik), Tiah Barrientos (Antonio III), Oscar Lee Lucio (Megan), and Ashley Lussier; great-grandchildren: Loraya, Rodney Jr., Henry, Daysia, Deklyn, Samantha, Antonio IV, and Atlas.
