With profound sorrow yet in loving remembrance, we commemorate the life of Robert Lee Schreibvogel, 79, known fondly among us as Bob. Born on the 29th day of April 1944, Bob began his journey in Colorado, a place he would always call home. On the 18th of October 2023, he concluded his life on earth in the very place it started, leaving behind a legacy of love.
Bob was a beloved member of a large and loving family. He shared 56 years of unconditional love with his cherished wife, Linda. His daughters, Pam Scott-Musgrove (Squeak) and Val Bentien (Mike), held a special place in his heart. His adored grandchildren, who affectionately called him Papa, including Weston, Kobey, Kelsey, and Stockton, were a source of constant joy and a reminder of the blessings of family.
His sisters, Lori Lauer, Carol Oster, Dian Graves, his sister-in-law Sheri Jackson, and brother-in-law Steve Troudt, along with numerous other family members and friends will remember him fondly. He now joins his parents Herman and Margaret Schreibvogel, his siblings, Butch Schreibvogel, Shirley Younger, Mary Arnold, Ken Schreibvogel and Jim Schreibvogel, whose departure preceded his own to the glorious kingdom of heaven.
A patriot at heart, Bob served his nation with honor in the U.S. Navy. Post his service, he worked at Public Service, where his skills and dedication were well recognized. Upon retirement, he embarked on a new adventure with his beloved Linda, purchasing a home in Lake Havasu City Arizona. This place of rest and peace became a sanctuary for them, as well as for many who accepted Bob's open invitation to visit.
Bob was known for his heart of gold, a trait that endeared him to many. His friendly nature made strangers feel at home in his company, and his golden heart endeared him to all who had the good fortune to know him. A true Renaissance man, he could fix just about anything, His handy nature, loving spirit, and kind heart made him a beacon of humanity in a world often lacking such qualities.
Robert Lee Schreibvogel, Bob to us, has left an indelible mark on our hearts. Though he has departed from our sight, his spirit, and the memories he made with us will forever echo in our lives. His life was a testament to the beauty of love, the strength of character, and the power of kindness. He has left behind a legacy that will continue to inspire us, a legacy that will remind us of the man who could fix anything, who had a heart of gold, and who knew no stranger.
Bob, your life was a beautiful story, filled with love, kindness, and service. You will be remembered, celebrated, and dearly missed. May your soul find the peace and rest it truly deserves.
