Robert "Bob" Dale Wagner

Robert Dale Wagner, affectionately known as Bob, passed away peacefully on July 7, 2026, in Lafayette, Colorado, at the age of 82. He was born on March 10, 1944, in Hardin, Montana, to Tillie and Jake Wagner. Bob spent his childhood in Colorado, where he was raised alongside his sister, Darleen. He graduated from Evergreen High School with the Class of 1962.

Following graduation, Bob proudly answered the call to serve his country by enlisting in the United States Navy. He served as a Seabee from 1963 until his honorable discharge in 1967, including service during the Vietnam War. His time in the military reflected the dedication, work ethic, and quiet strength that would define the rest of his life.

In 1967, Bob met the love of his life, Betty Wagner. The two were married in 1968 and soon welcomed their son, Todd Hattendorf, that same year. Together they built a life centered on love, laughter, and family. In 1977, they moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, where Bob found a career he truly enjoyed as a Twenty-One dealer. Throughout his career, he worked at several well-known casinos, including the Flamingo and the Venetian, greeting guests with his friendly personality and professionalism until his retirement in 2011. Over the years, Bob and Betty moved between Nevada and Colorado before making Fort Lupton, Colorado, their permanent home in 2021.

Bob had a passion for sports, especially football. He enjoyed sports betting, never missed an opportunity to watch a game, and was a devoted Denver Broncos fan. He also treasured the simple pleasures in life, particularly lunch dates with Betty and friends.

Bob is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Betty Wagner; his son, Todd Hattendorf; his nephew, Jake; and many cherished friends whose lives were enriched by knowing him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Tillie Wagner and Jake Wagner and his sister, Darleen.

Bob's life was one of service, hard work, loyalty, and love. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, laughter, and unwavering devotion to those he loved. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his family and friends.
