Rodd Alan High was born on April 4th, 1963 in Huron, South Dakota to Carl High and Janice C Getscher. Rodd passed away in his home in Denver on 7/10/2025 due to heart disease.
Rodd had the most passion for cars and NASCAR, he never missed a race. Rodd loved to build model cars and show them off around his home. One memory Taura High will never forget is building model cars with him and painting them. Rodd graduated high school and got his CDL and he drove semi-trucks and was a tow truck driver. Rodd loved the mountains and lived in Colorado for majority of his life, but he also lived in Arizona, Idaho, and Kentucky at different times. Rodd had two wives and four children throughout his life. He also had six grandchildren. Rodd was closest to his only son Briar High. When Briar died in 2021 he never moved on or accepted his death and took his son dying really hard.
Rodd is preceded in death by his father, Carl High; younger sister, Lea Raye Schiebe; and his only son, Briar High. Rodd is survived by his mother, Janice C Getscher; uncle, Dale L Getscher; his wives, Delilah L High and Arlene M High; his three children, Farren Barr, Taura High, and Taylor Rose Cottingham; and his six grandchildren, Skyler Felton, Savannah Harris, Michayla Harris, Keelen High, Dean Cottingham, and Leon Cottingham.
