Ronald Rex Beach, 73, of Brighton, Colorado received his wings on August 11th, 2020 in his home. He was born September 29th, 1946 in Basin, Wyoming.
He met his loving wife Paula in 1967. He graduated from Basin High School in 1966. July 17th, 1968, he married his wife Paula, in Glenallen, Alaska. They lived there for two years before moving to Riverton, Wyoming, for eight years where he worked as a Chief of Detective’s Drug Enforcement in Law Enforcement. They were then relocated to Pasco, Washington, for work with Matlack Trucking Company and they lived there seven years. He was transferred to Colorado in 1985 with Matlack. He served many years in the Fire Department and held several Officer positions, including Chief. They eventually moved to Evergreen, CO in 1990 to retire.
Ron decided to come out of retirement to work for Evergreen Oil Company in Evergreen, CO for over 10 years, then decided to retire for good.
He joined the Elks Lodge of Golden in 2004, he was elected Golden’s Exalted Ruler in 2009. He held many seats with the Lodge, including District Officer of the year, State Officer of the year, State Chairman Veterans Services for 10 years, District Deputy Grand Exalted Ruler in 2013, and last but not least, Exalted Ruler for Denver Lodge #17 in 2015. He served as aid to the President Malcolm Freeburg with the Colorado Elks Association.
Ron is preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Paula (Havelick) Beach, his dad Rex Beach, mother Betty Leora, brother Donald Beach, brother John Michael aged 3. He is survived by his son John Beach and wife Brenda; son Thomas Beach and wife Kelly; daughter Jennifer Williams and husband Rob. Grandchildren, Brandon Beach; Jessica Beach; Tiawna Beach; Kacey Williams; Jordan Beach; step grandchild, Timothy Heckard and wife Beth; great-grandson Andrew Heckard.
