Rose Marie Unrein, age 93, of Brighton Colorado, passed away peacefully on December 23rd, at Brookdale Assisted living. Rose was born September 19th, 1927, in Henderson, Colorado to Katherin Schwert and John Case.
Rose spent her adolescence working on the Case Farm, where they harvested and milked cows with her ten siblings. Once graduated from Brighton High School, Rose went to work at The Denver Dry Goods Company, where she had an incredible knack for sales and people skills. She then married the love of her life Robert “Bob” Unrein. They married November 15th, 1948, and had two children Doug and Krisann.
Rose was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church and President of Alden Rosary.
Later, she continued her career as a Sales Rep and Showroom Manager at the Denver Merchandise Mart with Brockish Sales for thirty-eight years. After retirement she volunteered her time to the Brighton Senior Center and Platte Valley Hospital.
She truly loved the simple pleasures in life; chatting with friends and family around the kitchen table with cookies and coffee. Rose and Bob’s home was always a place of gathering and holds many special memories. She was a dedicated wife, mother, and faithful friend.
She is survived by her daughter, Krisann and son-in-law Mark Cooper, brother Leonard Case of Brighton, sister Betty Wethington of Bedford, TX, four granddaughters, Hannah Cooper, Jolean Unrein, Kaylie (Matt) Nazarenus, and Alison (Doug) Teter as well as four great grandchildren. Preceding her in death was her son Doug Unrein (May 2000) and husband Bob Unrein (June 2002).
