Russell Lewis Rosales Jr.
April 18, 1936 – June 6, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved father and grandfather, Russell Lewis Rosales Jr., who left us peacefully on June 6, 2025, at the age of 89.
Born on April 18, 1936, in Milliken, Colorado, Russell was a devoted brother, father, uncle, husband, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather, and a dear friend to many. His life was marked by service, hard work, and unwavering dedication to his family and community.
Russell proudly served his country in the Air National Guard, the United States Air Force, and later as a reservist. Following his military service, he returned home to help run the family dairy farm, where he took great pride in his work and way of life.
Throughout his life, Russell wore many hats—dairy farmer, truck driver, insurance salesman, Avis driver, Walmart security guard, and spent over a decade at Halliburton. He also found purpose in his faith and was an active member of the Knights of Columbus through the Catholic Church.
Russell is survived by his children: Mark Rosales, Kim Smith (Mike), and Ken Rosales (Sherri); eighteen grandchildren; twenty three great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; two brothers; one sister; and many loving nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Gloria; their son, Russell; his parents; and three sisters.
Russell will always be remembered for his kind heart, strong work ethic, steady presence, and his unwavering love for his family. He truly was the greatest dad and grandpa a family could ask for.
Services will be held at Saint Williams Catholic Church, Ft. Lupton, CO., on June 18, 2025, rosary at 10:30, mass at 11:00, graveside service at 12:30. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to the Knights of Columbus Assembly 3858 and Council 4732.
