Ruth was born in Brighton, Colorado to John and Emma (Troester) Roedel on July 5, 1929. She married Jim Rosenbrock on April 16, 1948.
Ruth lived in Brighton her entire life working as Office Manager for Adam’s County Extension Office for many years. She and Jim loved to travel. Their travels took them to Hawaii, Portugal, Spain and many other places. They both had many collectibles including Coke memorabilia, shot glasses, little trucks, Precious Moments, Hummels and Depression Glass. Ruth baked and decorated wedding and birthday cakes for several years.
Ruth was a very loyal member of Zion Lutheran Church and very involved in club and circle. She was a two time survivor of breast cancer. She loved to play cards especially cribbage. Several years ago she did have the “perfect hand of 29”. Ruth was a devoted and cherished mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She always had activities to do for the kids such as coloring, ring toss, frosting cupcakes, etc.
Ruth is survived by her daughter Beverly (Ken) VanCleave and son, Stanley (Peggy) Rosenbrock. She is also survived by grandchildren Kris (Joe) Bower; Kim (Brian) Mueller; Matt (Megan) Rosenbrock and Sam (Nikki) Rosenbrock;
great grandchildren Nathan Mueller, Maci and Myla Rosenbrock and Brady and Lexi Rosenbrock. She is preceded in death by both parents; one brother, Merle; and husband, Jim.
