Samuel J. Cummings

Samuel J. Cummings, 19, of Brighton, Colorado died on October 2, 2009. He was born on July 26, 1990 in Corona, California to Charles R. and Jill A. (Miller) Cummings. He attended Brighton High School and was currently at WYO Tech in Laramie, Wyoming studying to become a mechanic.

Sam loved working on cars. He owned a 74 Nova, given to him by his brother-in-law. He enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing and rafting the Poudre with his friends. He loved the ocean and enjoyed playing on the beach and snorkeling. Sam had the experience of traveling to Austrailia and spending three weeks there. He loved his dogs, Roxie and Bailey. Sam was a loving son, brother and uncle, always enjoying time with family and friends.

He is survived by his mother, Jill Cummings of Brighton, CO; father, Charles Cummings of Petaluma, CA; maternal grandparents Jim and Connie Miller of Johnstown, CO; paternal grandparents, Lee Cummings of Billings, MT and Barbara Heffel of Berthoud, CO; sister, Madison (Curt) Acklam of Brighton, CO; and niece, Averie Acklam.

A Memorial Service is scheduled for Saturday, October 10, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at Northern Hills Christian Church, 5061 E. 160th Avenue, Brighton, Colorado.
