Sara Gene Myers, a beacon of warmth and generosity, passed away in the comfort of her home in Brighton, Colorado, on January 31, 2024, due to natural causes. Born on March 26, 1938, in Monroe, Michigan, she lived a full and spirited 85 years, marked by love, creativity, and an unwavering zest for life.
Sara's early years in Monroe were filled with the simple pleasures of small-town life. She embraced every opportunity to learn and grow, developing a lifelong passion for reading that would become one of her most cherished pastimes.
Sara met and fell in love with Bradley James Myers. They built a life together on a ranch near Reno. Although Bradley preceded her in death, the legacy of their partnership endures through their children, Jeanne O'Dell, James Myers, and Jeff Myers.
Sara was a loving matriarch whose joy was multiplied with the arrival of her grandchildren, Jennifer O'Dell, Shane Blodgett.
Beyond her family, Sara found great pleasure in crafting with her friends. Her creativity knew no bounds, and the beautiful pieces she created were not just works of art but symbols of the love and care she put into everything she did.
Sara also relished the thrill of a good game and could often be found on excursions to the casinos in Reno. It was there that she shared memorable moments with friends and family, always playing with a sense of fun and never taking life too seriously.
Sara supported and loved her grandchildren and her great grandchildren. She was always willing to help in any way she could.
As we bid farewell to Sara Myers, we celebrate the life of a woman whose presence enriched the lives of those around her. Her unwavering love and her generous spirit will be deeply missed but lovingly.
