Scott Villars was born on September 11, 1959 in St. Paul, Minnesota to Gerald Villars and Eleanor Bertram and was the oldest of four siblings. Scott passed away on January 17, 2025. No words can be spoken for this loss, no words are good enough.
He was a terrific father, husband, brother, and friend. Scott lived a life filled with tremendous love for fishing and planting trees. The outdoors was always his main interest, he loved looking after trees and wildlife. He loved playing catch, basketball, and tennis with his kids; he also loved watching sports games with his current wife. During his lifetime Scott had many accomplishments and lived a life of joy and wonder. He lived a life of peace, like any man should. Even though his passing means we will no longer see him, he is forever in our hearts. Scott was a man that cannot be forgotten easily and left a legacy on us all. A man like this will stay in our memory for as long as we live. To his kids, he was not just a father, but a teacher. From playing chess to throwing a baseball to playing tennis, he shaped his kids to who they are now. Scott was gentle and funny but also had his competitive side; Scott gave it his all no matter what the task. While he taught all his kids many, many things, one thing he taught them was that you learn the most when you’re challenged. He was one of the most hardworking men that you would’ve ever come across and brought up his children to be the same. Not only was he hardworking, he was loving, to his siblings, his friends, and of course, his family. “We always got along great” his siblings said. A role model is someone you can look up to and follow. A role model didn’t define Scott, Scott defined a role model. He is loved indefinitely.
He is survived by his current wife, Karina Ferrer, his children, Danielle, Jeramiah and Tristan. He is also survived by children and grandchildren from his first marriage; his mother Eleanor Bertram, siblings Doug Villars (Anita), Susan Spence (Van), and Marc Villars (Kris).
He was preceded in death by his father Gerald and his son Eric from his first marriage.
