It is with deep sadness and endless love that we share the passing of Sergio Eduardo Chavez-Sandoval, who was born on October 12, 1995 Sergio was the son to Mirna y Pedro Chavez. He was also a devoted husband to me, Maria Isabel Chavez-Torres, and the most caring and proud father to our daughter, Eliana Isabel Chavez-Torres, who meant everything to him. Being her dad was the role he cherished most in life.
Sergio was known for being hardworking, creative, fun, and incredibly kind. He was the kind of person who would help anyone without thinking twice. He worked as a truck driver and also spent his weekends working as a physical therapy assistant, always doing his best to provide for his family and support others.
He had a deep love for animals, especially his dog Bonita, also known as “Bobo,” who went with him to work every day. Sergio was passionate about creating videos and photography, and he had a special fascination with space and astrophotography. He loved snowboarding, collecting Pokémon cards, traveling, and capturing moments that made life meaningful. He found joy in the simple things and shared that joy with the people around him.
To those who knew him, Sergio will always be remembered for his big heart, his sense of humor, and the love he gave so freely. He was someone who made people feel welcome, supported, and cared for. His absence leaves a space that can never be filled, but his love and the memories he gave us will stay with us forever.
Sergio is survived by his wife, Maria Isabel Chavez-Torres; his daughter, Eliana Isabel Chavez-Torres; his parents, Mirna and Pedro Chavez; siblings Pedro and Jacqueline Chavez; and many family members and friends who loved him deeply.
