Shelly Rae Lusk

Shelly Rae Lusk, 46, died on February 2, 2021 surrounded by family and friends. Shelly battled cancer for more than 2 and half years.

Shelly was born December 2, 1974 to Terry and Pam Masztaler (deceased) in Denver Colorado. Shelly grew up in Greeley Co. and graduated from Greeley West High School (class of 1993). Following high School Shelly attended Cosmetology School Greeley, Co. Shelly was happily married August 28, 1993 to Chris Lusk for more than 27 and a half years, she is survived by her two daughters Kimberley (Lusk) Palmer and husband Mitchell Palmer along with Shayla Lusk and partner Angel. She was blessed by a grandson, Aiden Palmer with another one on the way. Shelly is also survived by three sisters Nichole, Jeanette, and Tonya.  Shelly began her career as a hairdresser going on to manage a salon (BoRics hair design), until she and her husband Chris Lusk went on to manage a 50 unit apartment complex in Brighton Co. They went on to purchase their first home together and Shelly started a long career with Alberto's restaurant in Greeley Co. where she managed and waitressed for 10 years. Together they moved to Belmont Ca. September of 2009. After moving to California Shelly went on to work at the Crowne Plaza hotel as a server. Shelly got sick with Cancer November of 2018, and fought long and hard through surgeries and treatment. Shelly loved being surrounded by family and friends that came to visit, she will be dearly missed by everyone that knew her.

 This Thursday Feb. 11th at 11:00 a.m. there will be a witness Cremation at Irvington Crematory, 41001 Chapel Way Fremont California.

 Friday February 26th, Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. at St. Augustine Church 178 S. 6th Ave, Brighton Co. 80601.   After funeral services there will be a procession to Linn Grove Cemetery for Burial-Inurnment 1700 Cedar Ave, Greeley Co.   

This will be followed by a Celebration of life with dinner at Homewood Suites by Hilton Greeley 2510 46th Ave, Greeley Co. 80634.
