Shirley Ann Maestas-Flores
Shirley Ann Maestas-Flores, age 76, passed away on October 30, 2024, in Denver. Born on December 17, 1947, Shirley was a beacon of joy and love throughout her life. Known for her bright smile and infectious personality, she had a profound impact on everyone she met.
Shirley was a cherished member of her community, contributing significantly to the lives of many children beyond her own family, by babysitting and instilling in them strong morals and love. She played a pivotal role in raising not only her grandchildren but also her great-granddaughters.
She completed her education at Brighton High School and was a beloved figure in her family’s tax office, where she worked alongside her mother and sisters. Shirley enjoyed numerous hobbies; she loved camping trips with her family, motorcycle rides with her husband, and her annual casino trips with her sisters. A devoted sports fan, she never missed watching her sons play the sports they loved and was an ardent supporter of the Colorado Rockies. Mornings were special to Shirley, often spent savoring coffee and cookies.
Shirley is survived by her husband Ray. Sisters, Rita and Beca. Daughter, Reyna; sons, Frank, Richard and JJ; grandsons, Sean, Deon, Zavion; granddaughters, Jessica, Jalissa, Jazmyne, Annabella, Raelynn; and great granddaughters, Maniya, Ciana, Aalayzia, and Aliyana. She is preceded in death by her father, Max. Mother, Bessie. Sisters, Maxine and Peggy. Brothers, Anthony and Ronnie. By a grandson, Devon and Son Remigio (Ray).
Shirley’s life was a testament the power of nurturing and love, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
