Silvia was born in Thornton, Colorado on November 24, 1977 to Elias and Tules Huerta. She was sadly taken from us on February 26, 2021, due to a motorcycle accident.
She was raised in Brighton, CO, and was the youngest of four siblings. Silvia attended school in Brighton and then went on to pursue an Art History degree at Metro State University in Denver, CO. Those who knew Silvia knew that one of her biggest passions in life was her art and photography. Through her art and lens, she shared her view of life and the world. Another passion that Silvia lived for was supporting the LGBTQ community. She invested her time and art to the Denver Pride Parade for years.
Silvia was a beautiful, free-spirited soul who was never afraid to walk to the beat of her own drum. She walked the earth with grace, beauty, and lived a life of no fear. She was bold, fearless, hardcore and certainly fierce, and she shared that energy and strength with all who met and knew her. Silvia brought joy and laughter to almost every situation, every encounter, and every day that she lived. Her laughter was infectious. Her joy in the moment was how she lived her life.
Silvia is survived by her loving parents Elias and Tules, and three sisters, Cynthia, Belinda and Sandra; along with two nephews and one niece, Simba, Mateo and Isabella. She is also survived by a large extended family, and numerous wonderful friends.
