Sondra Walsh Obituary

On October 15, 2024, our beloved Wife, Sister, Mother and Grandmother, Sandy Walsh of Brighton, Colorado passed away.  On her passing she was 75, after a long battle of illness where she was bedridden for the last few years.  She was born on July 13, 1949, in Aurora, Colorado.  In her younger school age years, she lived in California and Nebraska due to her father’s military assignments.  The family settled back in Aurora, Colorado when she was 17 and that is where she spent most of her life.  A woman of strong faith in our Savior Jesus Christ, she was a long-time member of Faith Presbyterian Church in Aurora.  She was a homemaker and for 40+ years provided in-home daycare.  She loved and cared for hundreds of kids during that time, many of whom would come and visit her as they grew up and had fond memories of her time caring for them.  She was known for keeping a meticulous home and cups were known to disappear immediately to the dishwasher if you set it down for just one second.  She was a great cook, loved hosting her family for gatherings, Bronco’s games, boxing matches, and holidays.  Christmas for our family was always very special as she carried on her parents’ traditions.  She enjoyed visiting family on vacation and some of her favorite memories were getting waved to as a child by President Kennedy in his limo in Washington D.C. near the White House, going to the beach in South Carolina, tree lined hills of Ohio, Lake of the Ozarks and the Oregon coast.

Sandy is survived by her husband of 42 years, Kevin, who cared for her until her last breath. Daughters Heather (Tony Gotto) and Brenda Luna, son Jason Patterson (Jennifer), her sister Patty Judd, her Aunt Pearl Bell Follett, Cousins Thelma and Carol Follett, grandchildren Dawson Dean (22), Carsen Conklin (19), Madison Patterson (19), Erica Dean (18), Kevin Luna (16), Tyler Conklin (15) and Easton Patterson (12) as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her first husband James Patterson (1977), her parents Harry and Leah “Jerry” Bell, her sisters Linda Brown and Jackie Herrman.

A service and reception celebrating Sandy’s life will be held on Sunday, October 27, 2024, at 1pm at the Patterson home in Parker, CO. Please contact the family or email jaspatt@hotmail.com for details.
