Sylvester Bailey, 45, passed away on October 9, 2025, in Aurora, Colorado. Born on May 15, 1980, Sylvester was a proud graduate of Buena High and went on to build a career in the fields of computers and electronics.
From 2000 to 2004, Sylvester served honorably in the U.S. Army, completing tours in both Kuwait and Iraq during the Iraq War. His service reflected his strength, independence, and unwavering commitment—qualities that defined him throughout his life.
Sylvester was known for being straightforward and intelligent, with a sharp sense of humor that brought levity to those around him. He had a deep love for football and an even deeper love for his mother. Those who knew him will remember his resilience and authenticity.
He is remembered by Rosa Bailey, Sylvester Bailey Sr., Markus Bailey, Eric Bailey, and Marcel Lee.
A committal service with military honors will be held at Southern Arizona Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, located at 1300 S Buffalo Soldier Trail, Sierra Vista, Arizona 85635, on November 24, 2025, from 9:40 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him.
