Sylvia J. Arguello

Sylvia Josephine Rios Arguello January 27, 1949 – December 29, 2020

Sylvia was born in Denver, Colorado on January 27, 1949 to Joe Herbie Rios and Nellie Martinez she was the second oldest of five siblings.  She married Alex Arguello on August 19, 1967.

Sylvia spent the majority of her life in Brighton, Colorado where she received her Associates degree in early Child hood education and worked as a Pre-School director for House of Neighborly Service and a PARA teacher at North Elementary School.

Sylvia spent the next part of her life vacationing with her family and friends, cooking, playing cards, listening to music and dancing. Faith in God remained strong until her last moments on earth, which was spent surrounded by her loving family.

Sylvia is survived by daughters Alexandra Arguello, Stephanie Arguello, Andrea Arguello along with five grandsons Alex Morales, Aaron Morales, Robert Vaughn Jr., Keishon Arguello, Xavion Arguello and eleven great grandchildren, four sisters Barbara Casados, Veronica Martel, Susan Serna, Karen Holloway and many nephews, nieces and Godchildren. She is preceded in death by both of her parents Joe Herbie Rios and Nellie Martinez Rios.
