Tara K Carney was born to Philip and Elaine Carney on December 13, 1971 in Denver Colorado and passed away on December 3, 2022 at her home in Lakewood Colorado after a 3 year battle with Breast Cancer. She is survived by her parents and her brothers Philip II, Christopher (Kelli) and Brian and nieces and nephews Gregory, Joshua, Timothy, Danielle and Olyvia and her dog Annie.
She spent her childhood years in Northglenn, Colorado and as an adult lived in Edmond Oklahoma, Peru, Denver and Lakewood Colorado. She had an active and productive life of service. She was a lifelong camper who loved the Colorado outdoors traveling around in her R pod trailer with her beloved dog Annie.
As a graduate of the University of Colorado Boulder, she used her architectural engineering degree to bring to completion projects like Coors Field, Pepsi Center, Denver International Airport and the Adams County Justice Center and recently with McKinstry as a Regional Director, transforming companies to be more energy efficient and environmentally friendly.
Tara was a lifelong practicing Catholic, educated as a Spiritual Director at the Lantari Center at Holy Ghost Parish in Denver. She was adored and loved by many people where she formed lifelong friendships and connections with people that will go well beyond her life.
A service will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Northglenn, Colorado on December 13, 2022 with a rosary at 10:30am and mass at 11:00am with a gathering with lunch at the Church following the services.
