Terry was born to Richard and Gloria Langland in Aurora, Colorado where he was raised. He warned a bachelor's degree in graphic design which he used to design logos and T-shirts.
He met the love of his life when he attended the Hinkley High School production of Bye, Bye Birdie in 1993. Where he saw her on stage and proclaimed, “She will be mine, oh yes, she will be mine” (turns out they both loves the movie Wayne’s World). Terry married Noel in 1995 at St Pius X in Aurora, CO.
Terry was a successful Production Manager at a print shop with so many opportunities ahead of him. At the age of 24, he lost his kidneys. He had a near death experience, but he pulled through. He fought through 3 years of dialysis, 14 years with a transplanted kidney and over 7 years back on dialysis. He battled kidney disease for 25 years while taking care of the kids as a stay-at-home dad. He also did designs and worked at a printing shop till he physically couldn’t. He had so many dreams he would have accomplished had he not lost his health. Instead, he gave it his all to support as he could and be there for his family.
He took all of this in stride, with a sense of humor that spread light, love and laughter to all who knew him. He was a calm, strong, cool and funny guy who folks always mistook for a biker. He stood up for others, feared no-one. Inside the tough exterior was a teddy bear, little ones and animals recognized this right away, his eyes gave it away.
Terry is survived by his parents: Richard and Gloria Langland, his wife: Noel Langland, his children: Christian and Alaina Griffin, Tabitha and Zachary Wolery and Lucille Langland, his sister and brother-in-law: Kimberly and Donavan Coonrod, his nieces and nephews: Jesse Gillum, Austin Gillum, Kim Watkins, Erika Coonrod, Allie Coonrod and their children.
