Timothy Laurence Gallegos

Timothy Laurence Gallegos was born December 22, 1960, in Brighton, Colorado to Jose Julio and Clora Gallegos.  He passed away on February 18, 2025, at the age of 64 in Brighton. Tim attended school in Brighton but Graduated from Northglenn High School.

Tim had a variety of jobs but prior to becoming disabled he drove a bus for laid law and did a little bit or security guard work at Brighton Walmart.

He loved to cruise around town and visit with folks, he would help take care of lawns and other odds and end for many in the Brighton community.  He loved to garden, cook and go fishing and camping.

Tim loved his family and especially his grandchildren that Bernice brought into the world, and they brought him such joy.

Marc Anthony loved having dinner with his dad, enjoying his experiments he concocted and then watching old westerns, joking and laughing about life. Latisha Garcia remembers they would ride their bicycles from Lochbuie to Brighton, on Sundays after church going cruising in the 56 with his mom and dad to the mountains and jamming to good music on the radio just enjoying the scenery.

Margie remembers how they met; Tim crashed her sister’s wedding reception and the VFW in Brighton. He started up a conversation with her just like they had known each other for years. Then came back and even helped clean up after the party.

Rudy and Grace have so many memories of their impromptu fishing trips, dinners and especially these past three months of being with Tim to encourage and support him after the stroke.  Rudy shaving and giving him haircuts.

Although Kathy was his youngest sister she played the role of his guardian from a very young age. They had a special bond with each other, and he relied on her to always keep him in line and support him through many difficult trials he encountered yet there was a joy that no words can explain how it bonded them.

Timothy is survived, by Daughter Bernice Garcia, Son Marc Anthony Gallegos, ex-wife Margie Garcia and step-daughter Latisha Garcia, his grandchildren Bella, Lily and Jax Garcia. Siblings Orlando Gallegos of Arizona, Marie Gonzalez (Joe) of Denver, Jim (Juanita) Gallegos of Brighton, Rudy (Grace) of Aurora, Kathy (Dave) Delgado of Brighton and adopted brother Gilbert (Tessa) of Loveland and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents Jose Julio and Clora Gallegos, his brother Gilbert L Gallegos.
