Tomas F. Lopez was born on December 21, 1944 in Rio Grande, Zacatecas to Juan Lopez and Cruz Fernandez and was the middle of six siblings. He married the love of his life, Maria I. Lopez on July 28, 1975.
Tomas spent the majority of his life in Fort Lupton, CO working as a pipeliner in the natural gas industry. His love for the outdoors led him to work in different states such as Wyoming, Illinois, Utah, Texas, and Oklahoma. Tomas operated heavy machinery for various pipeline companies throughout the United States. The next adventure was to help his son for a few years with fabrication and more pipeline work until his retirement.
Tomas spent the next part of his life enjoying his family and friends. He attended his grandson's weekend soccer and football games. He enjoyed a good barbeque with family and friends. Other hobbies Tomas enjoyed were gardening, taking walks, listening to music, and dancing.
His home was his pride and joy, always welcoming everyone warmly. He took great joy in their company because he put a smile on their face as a result of his sense of humor. His faith in God remained strong until he went home to be with the lord as he was surrounded by his loving family.
Tomas is survived by his wife, Maria, his daughters Veronica and Tammi, and his son Alan (Lenny); along with two grandchildren, Quintan and Luke. He is preceded in death by both his parents; three sisters, Carmen, Teresa, and Marta; brother Abel.
