Venessa Sanchez Obituary

Venessa Sanchez entered eternal rest on March 26, 2024, surrounded by those who loved her most. Venessa was born on October 4, 1978, in Denver, Colorado to Eduardo (Lalo) and Dora Sanchez. She had two younger brothers, Eduardo (Eddie) Sanchez Jr. and Andres (Andy) Sanchez. Venessa spent the first 18 years of her life in Brighton and was always surrounded by family and friends. She graduated from Brighton High School in 1997 and went on to receive a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering at the University of Colorado, Boulder.

Venessa was a cherished daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin, and friend. She was known for her beautiful smile and contagious laughter; Venessa was able to make friends wherever she set foot. Her family and friends describe her as beautiful inside and out, intelligent, creative, loving, and a bright light. When Venessa entered the room, people noticed.

Venessa is survived by her parents, Lalo and Dora; brothers Eddie (Traci) Sanchez and Andy (Laura) Sanchez; her nephew Parker Colbeck; and her constant companion- her dog Domino, who she adopted in 2011. She was preceded in death by her sister, Isabel Sanchez; grandparents Fidencio Sanchez and Enrique and Sylvia Chavez; her uncle, Miguel Sanchez Villalobos; and cousins, Richard, Lorena (Lori), and Kailie.

Venessa will be lovingly remembered by her large family and many friends. As her grandmother, Sylvia, would often say, ¨We say that a baby cries when they enter the world, while others smile, but we should live in a way that when we die, we are the ones smiling while the rest cry¨
