Wendy Marie Gluckman, born on January 1, 1969, in Denver, Colorado, passed away peacefully on December 4, 2024, in Gainesville, Florida. Wendy was lovingly adopted shortly after birth by Donald and Janice Shriver, who welcomed her into their family with open arms. She was the youngest sibling, cherished by her older brother, Craig Shriver, and sister, Julie Motley.
Wendy grew up in an environment filled with love and adventure. From a young age, she developed a passion for barrel racing and a deep love for horses, which remained a central part of her life. Wendy attended Aurora Christian Academy, where she built lasting friendships and a strong foundation of faith. She later earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of Phoenix, demonstrating her dedication to personal growth and education. Post-graduation, Wendy spent her career working as a corporate recruiter, where she thrived in connecting people with opportunities and helping them achieve their professional goals.
Her compassionate spirit and genuine love for others meant she never met a stranger. Wendy's kindness and empathy left a lasting impression on everyone she encountered.
Her faith was the cornerstone of her life. A devoted follower of Jesus Christ, Wendy lived as a good and faithful servant, embodying the teachings of love, humility, and service. Her unwavering faith provided strength and inspiration to those around her.
Wendy was previously married to John Geels, and together they had one son, Landon Geels. Later, she married Sid Gluckman, her steadfast partner and best friend, with whom she had a daughter, Annika Gluckman. Wendy’s family was her greatest joy, and she poured her heart into nurturing and guiding them.
Her memory will be forever cherished by her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched. Wendy's legacy of love, compassion, and faith will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those who knew her.
