William A. de Jongh, 45, of Canon City passed away on September 17, 2007. He was born on March 9, 1962 to Adrian L. and Juliana A. H. (Gerritts) de Jongh in Denver. William attended school in Brighton and then married Deborah D. Cassill on May 22, 1993 in Whetmore, Colorado.
William has lived in Canon City for the last 10 years and has also lived in Whetmore for 5 years. He has spent most of his life in Brighton. He owned and operated William de Jongh and sons Trucking in Canon City since 1999.
William loved his motorcycles, his dogs, collecting knives and guns and would rather work than do anything else. He also loved to tease. He was a loving husband, father, uncle and soon to be grandfather.
William is survived by his wife Deborah of Canon City; 2 sons Aaron (Corissa) de Jongh of Westminster and Jesse de Jongh of Canon City; 2 step-sons Shane Bedford of Osage Beach, MO and Waylon Bedford of Beaverton, OR; sister Silvia (Troy) Nordholm of Brighton. William is also survived by 2 special nieces Michelle and Heather Nordholm. William also had a grandchild on the way.
Memorial services have been scheduled for Saturday September 22, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the Tabor-Rice Funeral Home.
