William Dennis Maes

William Dennis Maes passed away at his home in Brighton, Colorado on May 2nd, 2023. Dennis was born on August 21st, 1964, to Jennie and William Paul Maes. Dennis attended Brighton High School and graduated in 1983. He worked in Brighton for many years and was known by many people for his kindness and generosity.

Dennis was a kind and gentle soul and would help anyone in need. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping, fishing and going to concerts with family and friends when he was growing up. Dennis absolutely loved listening to music, especially classic rock. He loved to make everyone laugh and he always remembered the most intricate details of all the memories we shared as a family. Dennis loved spending time with his family, and we will cherish all the memories we have made with him throughout the years.

Dennis had a heart of gold. He will be deeply missed, and we will forever have a void in our hearts, but we take comfort in knowing he is in a better place, with those he loved so dearly.

Dennis is survived by his brothers Christopher and Daniel Maes; sister Juanita Maes; nieces Sierra Maes and Lexsi Smith; nephews Tryston Smith and Jayden Berkman along with many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Jennie and William Paul Maes and two brothers Ronnie Ortega and Julian Ortega.
