Zachariah "Zak" Fragale Obituary

Our beloved Zachariah (Zak) Joseph Fragale, 28, was called home on August 21, 2020. He was born July 16, 1992, and grew up in Henderson and Aurora CO.

Zak was a loyal, highly respected employee for 8 years at Mountain Wireless - his home away from home.  He was known for his quick-wit, infectious laughter, charming smile, and love for kids. His very presence warmed the room and touched hearts. Family and friendships meant the world to him and there wasn’t anything he wouldn’t do for another.

With Zak, there were no pretenses and you knew that what you saw was what you got. Beneath a rough and tough exterior, was the gentle, loving, compassionate, hard-working young man who was playful and ornery. He made his own rules and lived by the philosophy, “work hard and play harder”.

An avid outdoors enthusiast, he loved fishing, boating, jet skiing, camping, riding motorcycles, four wheeling, and snowboarding. He enjoyed shrimp boils, making jerky, frying fish, and gators. Zaki had a special place in his heart for his nephew Urijah Abel and nieces Aspen, Melody and Nova.

He was preceded in death by his great grandmother Maryann Powell, Uncle Jason Smith, and grandfather Derryl Slaughter. He is survived by his baby sister Shae, big brother Tyler, mother Sinda, father Fabius, “bonus-mom” Jennifer, stepbrother Justin, grandparents Linda, Cheryle, Gilroy and Dennis. He will also be greatly missed by several loving aunts, uncles, nephew, nieces, cousins, and wonderful friends who were considered family to Zaki.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Tabor Rice Funeral Home.  A public viewing will be held on Monday, August 31, 2020 from 10AM-11AM followed by a private prayer service at Zion Congregational Church in Brighton, CO. Per COVID-19 regulations, the service will be limited family only.  However, as we do not want to leave anyone out, the service will be streamed live from the Tabor Rice website and broadcast via radio station 91.9FM (from the church parking lot only) for those unable to attend the inside service or who wish to remain social distanced.
