Bertha L. Abel

Bertha L. Abel, 89, of Brighton passed away September 6, 2017. She was born on February 9, 1928 in Colorado to Fredrick and Minnie (Edstrom) Trostel. Bertha graduated from Brighton High School in 1946. Bertha married Walter Dick. He passed away in 1970. Bertha later married Danny Abel July 15, 1971 in Brighton. Danny passed away July 11, 2001. Bertha is a lifetime resident of the Brighton, Commerce City area.

Bertha worked for KWAL painting in Denver for many years. Bertha was also clerk for Commercial Office Products in Denver. Bertha was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Commerce City. Bertha made sure her family came first in life. Bertha hosted a family dinner every Sunday for 30 years. She enjoyed crocheting and knitting.

Bertha is survived by her 5 children; Harold (Pam) Dick of Ramona CA, Cheryl Wilbur of Aurora CO, Sherrie (Dana) Bybee of Brighton CO, Danny (Debbie) Abel of Fayette MO, Joseph (fiance Sarah) Abel of Denver CO.
She is proceeded in death by her 2 daughters; Desrae in 1998 and Sharon in 2003, 2 brothers; Robert and Fred 1 sister; Anna.

Funeral Service will be held on Monday September 11, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Tabor Rice Funeral Home. 75 South 13th Ave, Brighton CO 80601.
