Obituary
Natalie Starr Maier, 69, of Brighton, Colorado, passed away at Elms Haven Care Center on September 9, 2018.
Natalie was born on April 9, 1949, in Clarinda, Iowa, to Hubert and Maryln Maier. The family moved to Colorado where Natalie grew up and attended school. Natalie graduated from Brighton High School and then headed to Washington D.C. to work as a secretary for the F.B.I. Natalie moved back to Colorado and continued her work in law related fields. One of her favorite jobs was working in the Victim/Witness office of the Adams County District Attorney’s Office. Prior to her retirement, Natalie also worked for the Adams County Sheriff’s Office, in pre-trial services at the detention facility.
Natalie is survived by her daughters; Shannon Leyshon of Thornton, Kathy Montoya of Springer, New Mexico and Jennifer Helm of Brighton, nine grandchildren; Rachel, Clark and Mackenzie Leyshon, Peter and Rosie Montoya, Jacob and Daniel Concha, Alayna and Zachary Helm as well as three great grandchildren. Natalie is also survived by her siblings; Linda, Joe, Susan (Davis) and Hubert Maier.
Natalie was preceded in death by both of her parents.
A Memorial Service is scheduled for 2:00 pm, Friday, September 14th at Tabor-Rice Funeral Home.
