Shane Lucero Obituary

Shane M. Lucero, 46, of Denver, died on December 25, 2017. He was born in Denver, Colorado on September 15, 1971 to George A. Lucero and Sharon (Watkins) Lucero. He was a 1989 graduate of Brighton High School. He married DaeAun Leach in October of 2015.

Shane helped operate the family business, Lucero Bail Bonds in Brighton for many years. He enjoyed working on cars, not only his own but anybody that needed help, as well as tinkering with technology. He lettered at BHS in football and excelled in weight lifting and wrestling. Shane loved his dogs, had a huge heart and always gave of himself to family and friends. A friend to all, both short and long term, he loved and cherished children of all ages. He lived the life of a thousand men.

Survivors include his wife, DaeAun Leach; father, George Lucero of Lakewood, CO; daughter, Reagan Vernon of Lebanon Missouri; brother, Pete Guerra of Pueblo, CO; sisters Tracy Ruiz-Sizemore of Houston Texas and Stacey Maldonado of Milliken, CO. Preceded in death by his mother Sharon, sister Georgina, brother Bobby, and beloved grandmother Cornelia Lucero.

Celebration of Life is scheduled for Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. at Tabor-Rice Funeral Home, Brighton, Colorado.
